Travis Etienne Jr. Limited Upside Against Bears Due To Shoulder Injury
1 month agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. (shoulder) was limited in practice all week with a shoulder injury but will play through it, just as he did in Week 5, after being removed from the final injury report. He faces the Chicago Bears, who have been great on defense, but mainly against the pass. The shoulder injury limited Etienne's snaps last week, paving the way for Tank Bigsby to thrive in an expanded role. The combination of the injury, backfield competition, and likely negative game script means it is hard to expect a big game out of the Clemson product. He was productive in the passing game with six catches for 43 yards, so he could actually benefit from the team passing more, but with tight end Evan Engram (hamstring) potentially returning from injury and receivers Brian Thomas Jr. and Christian Kirk excelling, it's hard to imagine him matching that previous receiving output. While fantasy managers shouldn't bench Etienne in Week 6, their expectations for him should be tempered to a low-end RB2/flex level.
