Travis Etienne Jr. Finds The End Zone In Preseason Finale
1 year agoJacksonville Jaguars running back Travis Etienne Jr. rushed eight times for 39 yards and one touchdown in Saturday's 31-18 preseason win over the Miami Dolphins. After sitting out last week with the rest of the first unit, the third-year back played the first two series and got a plethora of opportunities. It's worth noting that rookie Tank Bigsby also saw some action on both drives but squandered his first goal-line opportunity by coughing up the football, which Miami recovered. The Jaguars marched down the field on the next drive and opted to give Etienne the short-yardage scoring opportunity, which he converted. While Etienne is the clear-cut RB1 in Duval, it's evident that the Jaguars also want to get Bigsby involved, especially at the goal line. The Auburn product may poach some touchdowns throughout the season, but Etienne is still set up for a healthy workload and should be viewed as a relatively safe option at his late third-round ADP, especially in PPR leagues.
