Travis d'Arnaud To Start Year On Injured List
6 years agoNew York Mets catcher Travis D'Arnaud (elbow) will start the year on the injured list while he recovers from Tommy John surgery. d'Arnaud is expected to be the backup to Wilson Ramos eventually, but Tomas Nido will start the year as the Mets No. 2 backstop. d'Arnaud just hasn't been able to stay healthy and is only an option in two-catcher NL-only leagues. Relief pitcher Luis Avilan has made the Opening Day roster, as well as Keon Broxton, Luis Guillorme, Dominic Smith, Peter Alonso, J.D. Davis and Nido.
