Travis Blankenhorn Receives First Big League Call-Up

Minnesota Twins second baseman/outfielder Travis Blankenhorn has been summoned to the active roster ahead of Monday’s contest against the White Sox and will make his Major League debut when he first gets into action. Blankenhorn has never played above Double-A, having compiled a .787 OPS across two Minor League levels last year. Ranked as the club’s No. 18 prospect per MLB Pipeline, Minnesota’s decision to bring up Blankenhorn will likely be short-lived, as the team is without Miguel Sano (neck), Eddie Rosario (elbow), and Marwin Gonzalez (illness) for at least Monday’s outing.
