Travis Benjamin Agrees To Extension
6 years agoThe Los Angeles Chargers agreed to a one-year extension through the 2020 season with wide receiver Travis Benjamin. The deal includes a $5.5 million signing bonus, while his base salary for 2019 reduces from $5.25 million to $1 million. The deal creates $2.75 million in salary cap space. The 29-year-old had only 12 catches for 186 yards and one touchdown in 12 games for the Bolts last season, but Benjamin's role as a deep threat could increase in 2019. Still, he's a boom-or-bust fantasy option in standard-scoring leagues and not much more.
