3 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell said that right-hander Tony Santillan will work in relief at Triple-A Louisville. It comes after the Reds optioned Santillan after he allowed two earned runs in three innings against the San Diego Padres on Monday to take his second loss of the season. The 24-year-old wasn't bad in his four starts for Cincinnati, posting a 3.78 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 20/10 K/BB in 16 2/3 innings, but he'll work on improving his fastball-curveball combination on the farm. We'll likely see Santillan back at some point in the second half of the season, and he'll have minimal streaming value in deeper leagues if he re-enters the starting rotation.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
