Tony Pollard, Cowboys Not Expected To Agree On Long Term Deal
1 year agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard is not expected to reach a long term deal with the organization ahead of Monday's franchise tag deadline. The 26-year-old is set to make $10.1 million for the upcoming season on the franchise tag. Pollard is expected to be the future at running back in Dallas with the team cutting ties with Ezekiel Elliott this offseason. That means, Pollard will be the primary back heading into next season. That should result in him being a top-10 fantasy running back. However, he's coming off broken fibula in his left leg, so we'll see how he bounces back in training camp. The two sides are expected to negotiate a long term deal down the road.
