Tony Pollard Gets 13 Carries in His NFL Debut
5 years agoDallas Cowboys rookie running back Tony Pollard received 13 carries in his first NFL game in Week 1. He wasn't able to find much room though, averaging just 1.8 yards per carry and totaling 24 yards on the ground. Pollard was ticketed for a much bigger role when starter Ezekiel Elliott was involved in a contract dispute with the team, but with Elliott back on the team, the two backs both ended up with 13 carries. Going forward, Elliott will certainly receive the vast majority of the team's carries, leaving Pollard as a potential high-upside handcuff, but little more in most fantasy formats.
