4 weeks agoTennessee Titans running back Tony Pollard faces the Detroit Lions in a Week 8 road matchup this weekend. Pollard underwhelmed against a bad rush defense but was mostly game scripted out in the second half against Buffalo last week. The Lions boast one of the best rush defenses in the NFL, allowing the third-fewest yards on the ground in the NFL through seven weeks. Tyjae Spears did play against the Bills but is likely to return this week after having practiced in limited fashion for three consecutive days. That will take snaps away from Pollard, especially if the Lions go up early in this one. Pollard did draw six targets last week so he may remain involved in the passing game even with Spears back in the mix, but with the tough matchup and less opportunity inbound he's only a lower-end RB2 for this game.--Ryan J.
