Tony Pollard Could Be Used As A Receiver
5 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard won't see much work on the ground as long as Ezekiel Elliott is healthy, but he could be used in many ways in new head coach Mike McCarthy's offense. Pollard compares favorably to Ty Montgomery, who was a receiver also used as a running back under McCarthy in Green Bay. Pollard played receiver at Memphis in college and had two 100-yard rushing games as a fourth-round rookie in 2019. He finished the season with 455 yards on 86 carries and two touchdowns while also catching 15 passes for 107 yards and another score. Pollard's versatile skills set could keep him on the field more often than most people think, and he could be a deep sleeper in PPR leagues.
