Tony Gonsolin Throws 27 Pitches In Tuesday Rehab Start
2 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin (forearm) threw 27 pitches over two innings in Tuesday's start with Triple-A Oklahoma City. Gonsolin allowed no runs on a hit and no walks with two strikeouts. This is a small but encouraging step forward for the 28-year-old, who has been sidelined by a forearm strain since Aug. 24, but he also threw a two-inning simulated game on Monday. It remains to be seen when Gonsolin will be ready to return to the Dodgers. Fantasy managers should keep an eye out for more news but should prepare for the possibility that they may not get one more start from him. This would be unfortunate, as Gonsolin has an excellent 16-1 record with a 2.10 ERA in 23 starts this season.
