Tony Gonsolin Continues To Be Pulled Early

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin only lasted four innings in Sunday's no-decision versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. Gonsolin allowed four hits, one run, one walk and struck out six on the afternoon. The right-hander had good stuff in the outing, but he has only gone over four innings in one of his seven outings this season. Gonsolin got a late start to the season, but the Dodgers will need him more than ever with starting pitchers Clayton Kershaw (forearm) and Trevor Bauer (administrative leave) both set to be sidelined to open the second half of the season. Despite the low quantity of innings, Gonsolin has been putting up good numbers with a 2.13 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings. He is worth rostering in most formats.
