Defenseman Tony DeAngelo will spend the 2024-25 campaign playing overseas, having agreed to a one-year contract with the KHL's SKA Saint Petersburg. The 28-year-old was a free agent after having a second stint with the Carolina Hurricanes in 2023-24. DeAngelo skated in 31 NHL games last season, posting three goals and eight assists. He boasts 210 points (48 goals, 162 assists) in 371 career games. With two 50-point campaigns on his resume, DeAngelo has proven himself as an offensively gifted blue-liner, but that wasn't enough for him to earn an NHL deal for 2024-25. SKA has also landed Evgeny Kuznetsov and Nikita Zaitsev from the NHL this offseason.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBallerRead More News
