1 year agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Tony DeAngelo is expected to be healthy scratched for Friday's game against the Florida Panthers. DeAngelo has played in all 13 games for the Canes so far this season, but with Brett Pesce ready to return, it looks like he will be the odd man out. Tony D isn't known for his defensive prowess, but he has been decent on the offensive side this season, notching six points in 13 games. He is a -8 though, and Rod Brind'Amour likely wants to see some better defense out of DeAngelo if he's going to be a full-time player.
