Tommy Pham Could Be Traded
2 years agoNew York Mets outfielder Tommy Pham has become the team's most productive hitter in the last month or so. Since May 18, he is hitting .324 (33-for-102) with five home runs, nine doubles, a triple, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases and 15 runs scored in 30 games played. It has crossed Pham's mind that he could be traded before the Aug. 1 deadline with the Mets sitting at 36-45, 17.5 games out of first place in the National League East. The 35-year-old has been part of deadline deals in the past. He has become the everyday left fielder and is now hitting .273 (47-for-172) with eight homers, 31 RBI and nine steals in 60 games in Queens. For Pham, a change of scenery may be exactly what he doesn't need, as he seems to be pretty comfortable in his current situation in New York.
