Tommy La Stella's Rehab Assignment Paused
3 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Tommy La Stella (hamstring, thumb) experienced soreness in his thumb on Thursday. He returned to San Francisco on Friday for further examination. The tests revealed no structural damage, and La Stella will take the next few days off from baseball activities. He will continue his rehab assignment with Triple-A Sacramento next week. The 32-year-old slashed .235/.297/.353 with one homer and five RBI across 25 games before being placed on the injured list. La Stella is mainly an option for depth in NL-only leagues when healthy, as he is expected to come off the bench for the Giants if/when he returns from his injuries.
