Tommy Fleetwood Is Coming To Florida In Good Form
1 year agoComing off a T10 finish at the Genesis Invitational, Tommy Fleetwood has made the most of the early season. He already has a win under his belt on the DP World Tour and is coming to an event where he has had very respectable finishes in the past (six of seven on made cuts) that include two top-10s and a top-three finish. Bay Hill has traditionally been a course that caters to the same players year after year. Once a player learns its nuances, it typically yields solid results. And using Fleetwood in a lineup is going to take that same justification. The Englishman isn't appealing in most stat categories, as he ranks outside the top 120 in all ball-striking strokes-gained metrics. His wedge play around the green (41st in strokes gained around the green at .262) and putting (84th in strokes gained putting at .087) are his only appealing stats, so taking him at $10,200 on FanDuel is merely a gut play that could pay off in a big way.

Tommy Fleetwood Looking To Get Back Into Good Graces At Bay Hill
2 weeks agoEarly in his career, the Arnold Palmer Invitational looked like a place itching to award Tommy Fleetwood his first victory on American soil. However, after eight attempts, things have begun to go sideways for the English golfer at Bay Hill in recent years, having shot a second-round 80 last year and being only one of 11 players to miss the cut. 2025 has started well for the 34-year-old, and his most recent T5 finish at the Genesis certainly piques the interest of many DFS players wondering if it's time to jump back on the Fleetwood-Bay Hill bandwagon. Considering that his bad time last year was from losing over four strokes on approach in the two rounds played and the fact that he's currently leading the PGA Tour this season in that same metric (+1.178), the tides certainly seem to be changing. Start Fleetwood with confidence.

Tommy Fleetwood An Interesting Name For Genesis Invitational
1 month agoProbably a better play at the original host site, Riviera Country Club, Tommy Fleetwood still makes for a person of interest ahead of Thursday at Torrey Pines. Through only two events played this season (One PGA Tour and one DP World Tour event), the 34-year-old has gained over 10 shots on approach and is averaging +0.365 strokes gained off the tee. Putting has ultimately kept him from higher finishes, but if the weather report holds with rain and breezy conditions in at least the first two rounds, it shouldn't play as big of a factor. He shot one of the lowest rounds of the day (67) Saturday at Pebble in similar conditions, and with little course history here, it could be wise to take a chance.

Tommy Fleetwood Set To Make First PGA Tour Appearance In 2025
2 months agoTommy Fleetwood is set to make his first PGA Tour appearance of the year at this week's ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am. His only tournament in 2025 was two weeks ago at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic on the DP World Tour, where he finished T21. Fleetwood finished T31 at last year's ATT Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It's noteworthy that, over the past 12 months, Fleetwood ranks in the 93rd percentile for proximity to the hole from approach shots 100-150 yards in the fairway. This is significant because, at last year's tournament, over 26% of approach shots came from this distance. While Fleetwood has shown strong performance at this event in the past, including him in DFS lineups this week does carry some risk.

Tommy Fleetwood Seeks First Tour Victory In Castle Rock
7 months agoTommy Fleetwood is likely going to be a popular option for fantasy managers once again this week. The 33-year-old Brit has been in excellent form in recent months, posting nine finishes inside of the top-25 and only missing one cut in his 13 starts dating back to April. He put on another ball-striking clinic at the FedEx St. Jude Championship last week, gaining 8.3 strokes to the field in that category, and finished T22 despite having a career-worst performance losing almost eight strokes putting. Fleetwood profiles as an excellent course fit for Castle Pines golf club as well, as he ranks first in driving accuracy, ninth in weighted approach play, sixth in par 5 scoring, and 13th in bogey avoidance over the last 24 rounds. If Fleetwood can get back to his baseline on the greens, fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised to see him contending for his first Tour victory come Sunday evening.
