1 year agoNew York Giants rookie quarterback Tommy Devito had a rough game in the Week 15 loss to the New Orleans Saints and was sacked seven times, but the Giants plan to keep him as their starter under center heading into a Week 16 date with the Philadelphia Eagles next Monday night, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Daboll also said DeVito is sore but OK after having to leave the game briefly to be looked at by trainers. The 25-year-old is now 3-2 as a starter after going 20-for-34 for 177 yards with no touchdowns or turnovers on Sunday against the Saints. DeVito has exceeded expectations as an undrafted rookie thrown into the fire and is able to make plays with his legs, but he could be in for a second straight tough game in primetime next week against the division-leading Eagles.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
