New Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Tatar (lower body) is ready to end a brief two-game absence on Friday versus Seattle. Tatar will line up with Dawson Mercer and Erik Haula (undisclosed) on the third line. The latter is good to go for the contest after missing Tuesday's practice. Tatar's role is limited on the team, but he's been productive in his recent outings, posting four points (one goal, three assists) in five appearances. His work across the season includes three goals and six assists in 26 games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Tatar (lower body) will miss a second consecutive game on Monday versus the Rangers. He sustained a lower-body injury on Friday against Detroit. Tatar's efforts include three goals and six assists in 23 games this season. Shane Bowers replaced Tatar in the lineup on Saturday against Washington, but he has been sent back to the AHL. Mike Hardman and Nathan Legare were called up from the minors in a corresponding move. Both players are expected to play against the Rangers, but they won't have big roles.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New Jersey Devils left wing Tomas Tatar exited Friday's 5-4 victory over Detroit with a lower-body injury. Tatar played only three minutes in the contest but managed to grab a power-play assist before getting hurt. That's now six assists and nine points in 26 games for him this season. With New Jersey back in action on Saturday night against Washington, Tatar might have to sit out his first game of the campaign. The Slovakian forward doesn't play a big role for New Jersey, averaging 10:46 of ice time on the fourth line. Shane Bowers is in line to fill in for Tatar if he can't play on Saturday.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

The Seattle Kraken have acquired winger Tomas Tatar from the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round draft pick. Tatar didn't really fit with the Avs, as he totaled just nine points (one goal, eight assists) in 27 games while playing in a depth role. With the Kraken, Tatar has a chance to see more ice time and some powerplay time as well, as Seattle usually shuffles their forwards around as they see fit. He isn't a good fantasy option right now, but after posting 48 points in 82 games last year, he is someone to watch in deeper leagues.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller

Colorado Avalanche winger Tomas Tatar recorded two assists in Monday's 5-1 victory against Seattle. He had a power-play helper on a Ross Colton strike and assisted Cale Makar during even-strength play. Tatar's life in Denver has been rough, as he's struggled to make a positive impact and has yet to score in 13 outings. He also had just four assists for the season before Monday's action. The team will need him to up his productivity, especially after Artturi Lehkonen (upper body) dropped out of the lineup for an extended period.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
