The New York Mets placed catcher Tomas Nido (eyes) on the 10-day injured list with a vision issue, according to MLB.com. The 29-year-old was in the middle of a horrible start to the season offensively, slashing .118/.148/.118 in a backup role. In a corresponding move, the club recalled Michael Perez from Triple-A. The former fifth-rounder has played parts of five seasons at the big league level but hasn't hit much, batting .174 with a .545 OPS in his career. Perez will backup Francisco Alvarez, who was already the starting catcher in New York, so this news doesn't change much for any fantasy manager.--Spencer Seguin
