4 years agoNew York Mets backup catcher Tomas Nido (wrist) received a clean MRI exam on his wrist, but he still has "some limitations," according to manager Luis Rojas. Consider him day-to-day for now, but it looks like Nido will avoid a trip to the injured list. The 27-year-old doesn't have much fantasy appeal, even in two-catcher leagues, as the backup to James McCann. In 91 plate appearances in 2021, Nido is slashing .238/.297/.393 with three home runs, 12 runs scored and 11 RBI. Until the Mets clear Nido for action again, Patrick Mazeika will serve as New York's backup backstop.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
