Tom Murphy Out On Paternity Leave

Colorado Rockies catcher Tom Murphy is off for a few days on paternity leave. He is expected back on Tuesday, and Tony Wolters and Chris Iannetta will balance the load while he's gone. Murphy is still riding a ridiculous .536 BABIP so far this season to give him a batting average over .300, but he's also struck out a ridiculous amount of the time. Murphy has struck out 20 times (40 percent of his at-bats) while only walking once. This isn't a new problem for Murphy, and once he comes back down to Earth on his good fortune on balls in play, expect the worm to turn on him very quickly.
