Tom Brady Unlikely To See Time In Preseason Opener
5 years agoNew England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady isn't expected to play in the team's preseason opener against the Detroit Lions on Thursday, according to a source. It isn't a big surprise, as the Patriots likely know what he is capable of doing by now. The veteran quarterback has been getting plenty of work in during the first two days of joint practices with head coach Matt Patricia's team, and this is par for the course for Brady. It wouldn't be surprising to see Brady rest for most of the preseason in an effort to keep him preserved for when the games start counting. Brady has devolved into more of a low-end QB2 in most fantasy leagues of 12 or more teams at this juncture of his career.
