Todd Gurley II Could Be Traded
5 years agoThe Los Angeles Rams are currently in discussions regarding a possible trade of running back Todd Gurley II. Gurley's touches were scaled back drastically in 2019, as he had a career-low 223 carries. It was his second time in five years falling short of 1,000 rushing yards and he also had a career-low 3.8 yards per carry. He saved things for his fantasy owners with 12 rushing touchdowns and another two receiving TDs on 31 receptions. His chronic knee issues make him more of a committee back moving forward, though, so he'd be more of an RB2 if he stays in LA. A trade elsewhere would be interesting, but we'd doubt Gurley would suddenly become a workhorse back again. Malcolm Brown and Darrell Henderson are the Rams other options, but we'd expect them to draft a running back if they trade Gurley away.
