Todd Frazier's Roster Spot Not In Jeopardy
6 years agoThe New York Mets are not considering cutting third baseman Todd Frazier to make room for Jed Lowrie (knee), who could return from the injured list on Monday. A strained oblique cost Frazier the first month of the season, and he's hitting just .143 with a .425 OPS in 15 games since he returned from the injured list. Frazier will be the most affected by Lowrie's presence and will likely become a bench player, severely hurting his already minimal fantasy appeal. The veteran corner infielder also has 17 strikeouts, zero walks and a hit by pitch in his 50 plate appearances.
