Todd Frazier's Roster Spot Not In Jeopardy
The New York Mets are not considering cutting third baseman Todd Frazier to make room for Jed Lowrie (knee), who could return from the injured list on Monday. A strained oblique cost Frazier the first month of the season, and he's hitting just .143 with a .425 OPS in 15 games since he returned from the injured list. Frazier will be the most affected by Lowrie's presence and will likely become a bench player, severely hurting his already minimal fantasy appeal. The veteran corner infielder also has 17 strikeouts, zero walks and a hit by pitch in his 50 plate appearances.
