Todd Bowles On The Hot Seat?
6 years agoNew York Jets head coach Todd Bowles signed a two-year contract extension just nine months ago, but he could be on the hot seat moving forward if the Jets don't improve on their 1-2 start to the season. The feeling around the Jets is that Bowles isn't safe right now and is being watched, evaluated and judged. Jets chief executive officer Christopher Smith hasn't exactly given Bowles any ringing endorsements this year. The season is still young, but the Jets will likely continue to struggle with a rookie quarterback at the helm in Sam Darnold and a weak offensive line. It's way too premature to think that Bowles will flat out be fired, but the Jets will need to make improvements for Bowles to get himself off the hot seat by seasons' end.
