Titans Place Malcolm Butler On Injured Reserve
5 years agoThe Tennessee Titans placed cornerback Malcolm Butler (wrist) on the Injured Reserve on Tuesday, ending his season. Cornerback Tye Smith was re-signed in a corresponding move. LeShaun Sims will have a more prominent role in the secondary the rest of the year after being the No. 4 corner behind Butler, Logan Ryan and Adoree' Jackson. Butler, who was signed to a five-year, $61 million deal in March of 2018, had 32 total tackles and two interceptions this year. His loss will be felt in the secondary. Especially if Patrick Mahomes (knee) returns for the Chiefs in Week 10, the Titans Defense should be avoided for fantasy purposes.
