6 years agoWashington Redskins defensive linemen Tim Settle and Matt Ioannidis (knee) had very different experiences in the first preseason game Thursday. Tim Settle looked explosive at nose tackle and like he could help the defensive line rotation. Meanwhile, Matt Ioannidis left the game with an apparent knee injury. Reports came out later in the night that he "seemed fine" but time will tell. Both could end up being important pieces of a Redskins defensive line that will need to force pressure on the quarterback. Just as importantly, the Redskins are in the same division as Ezekiel Elliott and top rookie running back Saquon Barkley so the defensive line will need to hold up against the run.--Jamie Mellor
