Tim Anderson Hitless Over Three-Straight
4 years agoChicago White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson got off to a fantastic start to the month of May. He had a 12-game hitting streak this month that included seven multi-hit efforts. However, following the streak, he's gone 0-for-14 over his last three games. Anderson is having a strong year overall, slashing .298/.331/.440 with five home runs, seven stolen bases, 15 RBI and 27 runs over 33 games. He currently has a 41.2% hard-hit rate, which is a career-best clip, up from 35.8% last year. However, his .441 xSLG is significantly lower than last year's .506 clip and he currently has a career-low 1.3 degree average launch angle. Anderson's late start to the year limits his sample size a bit, but his peripherals are worth keeping an eye on going forward.
