Tigers Sign Jace Fry To Minor-League Deal
2 years agoThe Detroit Tigers have signed left-handed relief pitcher Jace Fry to a minor-league deal, per a tweet from the team's public relations Twitter account on Wednesday. Also per the tweet, the deal comes with an invitation to Major League Spring Training. Fry has made 162 Major League appearances in his career, all for the Chicago White Sox. The veteran owns a 5.04 ERA, a 4.23 FIP, 168 strikeouts, and 86 walks in 139.1-lifetime innings in the Majors. Fry also owns four saves and 28 holds during that span. The left-hander split the 2022 seasons with the Triple-A affiliates of the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Nationals. He'll provide the Tigers with some additional bullpen depth heading into the season.
