The Case For Corey Lajoie In DFS At Pocono Raceway
4 months agoCorey Lajoie will start 30th in The Great American Getaway at Pocono Raceway. To say that Lajoie has struggled at this track is an understatement. In his 11 Cup starts, he has an average finish of 27.5 and more DNFs (2) than he does top-20s (1). In addition to how terrible he has been in the Keystone State, he has also struggled throughout 2024, as he has not finished in the top 10 since Daytona way back in February. With this said, despite how dreadful he has been both this year and at this venue, there is one case to be made for rostering the 32-year-old in DFS this week. Given his starting position, the nine-year Cup veteran would have to finish just 22nd to return value on his $5,600 DraftKings salary. Even with his underwhelming results, he is certainly capable of finishing 22nd, making him a viable DFS play. Although we would not go as far as to call him a core play, he is a driver that should be included among the salary-saving options you consider when building your lineups this weekend.
