The All-Star Break Does Little to Re-Energize Robert Covington
7 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington failed to make a good impression on owners after the All-Star break on Thursday, scoring just eight points on an underwhelming 3-for-9 shooting against the Bulls. Covington hit two triples in the game but failed to do any scoring in the second half of the game. He added just three rebounds, one assist and one steal in this one while managing to avoid committing any turnovers in his 29 minutes on the floor. Covington has been cold for quite some time now and it's unlikely owners will be able to get more than pennies on the dollar in a trade scenario. We'd suggest holding him and simply hoping for the best.

Robert Covington Remains Out For Philadelphia
12 months agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (knee, illness) will remain unavailable on Thursday versus Miami. He hasn't seen any game action in 2024 and is set to miss a 45th consecutive contest. The veteran was supposed to return to action a couple of weeks back, but his recovery from a left knee injury appears to be taking more time than expected. In addition, Covington is also currently on the injury report with an illness. Nicolas Batum and Kenyon Martin Jr. have picked up extra work at the forward positions with Covington out. The two could get even more action on Thursday if Tobias Harris (knee) can't play.

Robert Covington Will Remain Sidelined Against Mavericks
1 year agoPhiladelphia 76ers forward Robert Covington (knee) hasn't played at all since the turn of the new year and that streak will continue as the team has ruled him out again for the Monday night contest against the Dallas Mavericks. He wasn't able to participate in practice either while Nick Nurse mentioned there's "not much light at the end of that tunnel," in regards to when he'll be back. There still isn't an official timetable, so only time will tell if he's able to return anytime soon or not. Marcus Morris Sr. and Kenyon Martin Jr. will continue to see minutes in the power forward spot while Covington and Nicolas Batum (hamstring) both remain out.
