Teoscar Hernandez Loses Arbitration Hearing
2 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Teoscar Hernandez has lost his arbitration hearing against the organization on Saturday. The two sides were $2 million apart when they exchanged figures last month. Hernandez will still take home the largest arbitration salary in league history at $14 million for the 2023 season. The 30-year-old slugger tops Gerrit Cole and Max Fried who held the record at $13.5 million. Hernandez was acquired by the Mariners from the Toronto Blue Jays earlier in the offseason. He hit .267/.316/.491 with an .807 OPS, 25 home runs, 77 RBI in 131 games last season. The hope is that he'll continue to have similar success with his new team.
