Temper Your Expectations For Christopher Bell At Homestead
1 year agoOn Saturday morning, Christopher Bell qualified P13 for the 4EVER 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Bell enters Sunday's race fresh off of a second-place finish at Las Vegas, a race in which he scored 73.80 DraftKings points. Because of his efforts last week, he now sits just two points behind his fellow JGR teammate, Denny Hamlin, in the playoff standings. Given the banking and length similarities between Las Vegas and Homestead, it is tempting to want to load up on the former Truck Series champion this weekend in DFS, but I think this would be a mistake because of the tire wear difference between the two tracks. Specifically, Homestead is one of the more abrasive tracks on the Cup schedule, which means tire wear will have a much bigger impact on the race than it did last week. Considering that Bell is averaging just 17.60 DraftKings points at high tire wear tracks in the Next Gen car, I think it is best to limit your exposure to the No. 20 when building your DFS lineups this weekend.
