Ted Potter Jr. Surprises To Win AT&T Pro-Am
7 years agoTed Potter Jr. used a third-round 62 to propel himself into a share of the lead, then played flawless golf on Sunday with a final-round 69 to secure his first PGA Tour victory. He held off charges from the likes of Phil Mickelson, Chez Reavie and Jason Day, among others, to win by three shots. Considering he had missed five of nine cuts on the year and only had one top-15 finish, this was a surprise to most, if not all. He will look to ride that momentum into this week's Genesis Open at Riviera.
