Taylor Rogers Notches First Save
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Taylor Rogers was asked to take the mound in the ninth inning during Sunday's game against the Kansas City Royals. The left-hander was able to get through all three of the batters he faced and earn his first save of the season. Normally, Camilo Doval is the primary closer, but he received the day off after struggling during his last outing. The expectation is that Doval will remain the team's closer. However, it wouldn't be shocking to see Rogers get a few more chances whenever Doval isn't available.
