Washington Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke completed 13-of-18 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns along with one interception and a lost fumble in Saturday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers. The 29-year-old came into Week 16 with rumors of his eventual benching circulating media coverage. However, despite the added pressure, he came out sharp against San Francisco's vaunted defense in the first half. Unfortunately, things fell off when the eighth-year pro lost a fumble and threw an interception on back-to-back possessions in the fourth quarter. That sealed Heinicke's fate as former starter Carson Wentz replaced him for the rest of the game. With his benching, it remains to be seen if Heinicke will start another game for the Commanders this season.--Jack Camenzind - RotoBaller
