Taylor Heinicke Leads Washington To Upset Win
2 years agoWashington Commanders quarterback Taylor Heinicke completed 17-of-29 passes for 211 yards and an interception along with five carries for 10 yards and a lost fumble during Monday's win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Things did not start off great for the 29-year-old in this one as he fumbled on their first drive, which set up the Eagles for their first score of the day. However, he managed to stay level-headed as he made all the right plays while leading sustained offensive drives that kept Philadelphia's threatening offense off the field. Heinicke did not impress statistically, but this performance certainly has to have head coach Ron Rivera considering him for the starting job for the rest of the season. If Heinicke is to remain the starter over Carson Wentz, then he should be considered a solid QB2 for fantasy managers.
