New Jersey Devils forward Taylor Hall will sit tonight's game against the Washington Capitals as a healthy scratch, along with linemate Kyle Palmieri and defenseman Sami Vatanen. The Calgary native and Hart-favorite is having a career year with 39 goals and 93 points, both career highs set in only 76 games. This will be Hall's first trip to the postseason and the Devils' first since 2012, so the fact they're resting some of their best players comes as little surprise. They are, however, fighting for a higher playoff seed, which could end up being as high as third in their division, or the second wild-card spot, depending on tonight's results.--Barry Miles
