Tanner Scott Back From Paternity List
1 year agoMiami Marlins left-handed reliever Tanner Scott was reinstated from the paternity list in time for Thursday's game against the New York Mets. The Marlins optioned left-hander Enmanuel De Jesus to the minors in a corresponding move. Scott only ended up missing the team's doubleheader on Wednesday and will now be back for potential save chances the rest of the week as the Marlins look to secure the final wild-card spot in the National League. The 29-year-old southpaw should return to primary closing duties for the Fish. In his second year with the team, Scott has a 2.38 ERA (2.21 FIP), 1.02 WHIP, 10 saves, 24 walks and a career-high 101 strikeouts in 75 2/3 relief innings. He has 30 saves in the last two years in Miami.
