Tanner Roark Won't Start Wednesday
6 years agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Tanner Roark will not make his scheduled start on Wednesday against the Marlins and will instead stay home to be with his family and newborn child. Kyle McGowin will make the start in Roark's place. It's unclear if Roark is an option to make one final start this weekend, but even if he does, he wouldn't be attractive in fantasy against the Rockies. McGowin will be making his major league debut Wednesday. He pitched well in three minor league stops this year, going 8-6 with a 2.80 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 152 K's in 141 2/3 innings over 23 starts. Consider him a deep sleeper as a streamer against the Fish.
