Tanner Roark Wins Fourth Straight Start on Saturday
6 years agoWashington Nationals right-hander Tanner Roark continued his string of dominant outings on Saturday in a win over the Chicago Cubs. Roark tossed 7 2/3 innings, allowing just two runs on nine hits to go along with seven strikeouts. In his last four starts, the righty is 4-0 with a 1.21 ERA while averaging nearly a strikeout per inning. He lowered his ERA from 4.87 to 4.12 in the process. The Nationals are going to need Roark to stay hot on the road against the Cardinals in his next scheduled start on Thursday.
