Supercars Star Will Brown Finishes 31st In His NASCAR Debut
6 months agoOn Sunday, Supercars points leader Will Brown finished 31st in the Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. Despite having his day ended prematurely due to electrical issues, the Australian native ran a solid race, working his way up to 11th place at one point in the afternoon. Given that he posted the third-best time in Friday's practice (73.389), and with the attention fellow Supercars standout Shane van Gisbergen gained following his victory in Chicago last summer, Brown did get 16.21% ownership in DraftKings featured contest, which was higher than Cup favorites William Byron and Christopher Bell. Although the 5.70 DraftKings points he scored fell well short of delivering value on his $7,200 salary, the fact that he was competitive at various points in Sunday's race will make him a driver to consider if he returns stateside again down the road.
