Edmonton Oilers goaltender Stuart Skinner will give way to backup Calvin Pickard for Thursday's road game against the Detroit Red Wings. This is simply a rest for the well-used netminder as there is no back-to-back situation at play for the club. Skinner has played nearly every night for the Oilers after Jack Campbell was demoted to the minors early in the season. The 25-year-old sits with a 2.69 goals-against average and a .901 save percentage through 28 outings (27 starts) on the season but has been fantastic of late. Skinner has won 13 of his last 15 decisions and has yielded two goals or fewer 10 times in that span, including in each of his last five while winning six straight games. He has become a high-end fantasy option on a surging Oilers team as a result.--Brenton Kemp
