5 years agoNew York Mets left-hander Steven Matz failed to throw a quality start on Sunday in a loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks. Matz went six innings, allowing five runs on eight hits to go along with five strikeouts. The southpaw was touched up for three runs in the first inning, two on home runs, and the Mets offense couldn't bail him out as he dropped to 4-4 on the season. Matz shows signs of dominance every once in a while but remains an inconsistent fantasy option. His next start will come at home against the Colorado Rockies this weekend.--Adam
