Steven Matz Bounces Back on Tuesday
6 years agoNew York Mets left-hander Steven Matz gave his team a solid outing on Tuesday against the San Francisco Giants. Matz tossed five innings, allowing two runs on two hits to go along with five strikeouts. He was forced to settle for a no-decision. However, this was a much better performance than Matz showed his last two times out, in which he allowed 13 runs in less than three total innings. The southpaw will likely toe the rubber next time out against the Washington Nationals on Sunday.
