Steve Cohen Confident To Make Carlos Correa Decision Soon
2 years agoThe negotiations between the New York Mets and shortstop Carlos Correa are spiraling as the concerns regarding Correa's physical remain a roadblock. The two parties have been in extensive discussions for over two weeks since the 12-year $315 million signing. Earlier on Sunday, Steve Cohen told Mets YouTuber Tyler Ward that the team would have a resolution for Correa soon. Most of the negotiation involves the $315 million contract, which the Mets believe should be re-evaluated. However, it appears that Correa is unwilling to lower the value of his contract, which only inclined his agent Scott Boras to reach out to another team. If the two parties depart, this would be the second time Correa's deal fell through this offseason due to his physical.
