Stephen Strasburg Exits Friday's Start with Shoulder Inflammation
6 years agoWashington Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg left Friday's start early with inflammation in his right shoulder, according to Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post. Strasburg allowed three runs on five hits while striking out two over two innings before he was pulled. There is no word as to the severity of the injury or how long it could keep him off the mound, but Mark Zuckerman of MASNsports.com reports that Strasburg said he had been dealing with discomfort for "a while" and that it got worse during his start Friday. Owners should probably expect a disabled list stint in the near future for Strasburg and plan accordingly.
