Stanley Johnson Plays Well Off The Bench
6 years agoDetroit Pistons small forward Stanley Johnson had a strong game off the bench against the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night. He scored 19 points, on an efficient 8-for-16 shooting and added seven rebounds and two assists. This game continued a trend of Johnson playing better as a reserve. When he comes off the bench, he has a true-shooting percentage of 56.7 percent, compared to 44.5 percent as a starter. Moreover, his scoring jumps to 11.6 points-per-game off the bench, with a usage rate of 22.3 percent. With Johnson thriving on the Pistons bench, he may be worth a deep-league add to see if he can keep this up. His next chance to further his hot streak will be on Monday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
