Spencer Steer Leads Ninth-Inning Comeback Vs. Rockies
6 months agoIt was Cincinnati Reds first baseman/outfielder Spencer Steer's first game in June with less than two hits, but his one Wednesday was a doozy. He went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday’s 12-7 win over the Rockies. Steer crushed a two-run, two-out, 439-foot blast to left field off Rockies closer Jalen Beeks in the top of the ninth to give the Reds an 8-7 lead. From a fantasy perspective, what is not to love about Spencer Steer? He's locked into the middle of order in one of the most explosive offenses in all of baseball. He qualifies at four different positions in Yahoo leagues and three in ESPN leagues, and he's been producing as a top 75 player and was commonly being drafted past round 10. Fantasy managers should enjoy the HRs, SBs, and lineup flexibility that's coming their way this summer.
